Ruth Mary Hallock was one of the many illustrators of the beloved Child’s Garden of Verses by Robert Louis Stevenson. I can’t find out very much about her except that she she lived from 1876-1945, she illustrated children’s book for over fifty years, and one of her earliest works was “Little Rhymes for Little Readers” , published in 1903. I found a very worn 1928 American school reader book and scanned these lovely and charming illustrations. If you click on one of these images you will be directed to my etsy shop where I have these and many beautiful old illustrations to offer you.
